John McLeod is the Founder & Principal of Sales Growth Solutions, LLC and a licensed Sales Xceleration advisor. He leverages his diverse background – including 30+ years of experience in sales, operations and general management – to help clients drive profitable sales growth.
Prior to founding SGS, John led organizations in the technology and business services space. Managing some of the best-known sales organizations with NCR Corporation, Vertex, and Iron Mountain, he has been responsible for sales budgets ranging from $30 to $400 million. He has a proven record of identifying and developing sales talent; and building strong, successful teams.
John’s “big company” experience is combined with a strong entrepreneurial drive that allows him to successfully develop both sales strategies and execution plans. He has also negotiated and managed business development relationships with leading industry leaders such as Microsoft, Boeing, JP Morgan Chase, LinkedIn as well as many SMB and mid-market clients.
John is an experienced industry thought leader who has contributed to The Sales Enablement Society, as well as leading Sales training firms such as Solution Selling, Core-Centric Selling, and Challenger. Recognized as a top individual producer early in his career, John excelled in leadership roles and is widely regarded as an expert Sales leader and coach.
John now combines this broad background with the power of Sales Xceleration’s proven growth and management systems to help small and medium-sized businesses increase revenue and boost profits for sustainable performance.
John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas Christian University and an MBA from DePaul University. He and wife Tricia reside in suburban Chicago; and he is an active community volunteer who enjoys down time with his family and friends.
